Amazon Indie Children's Books Review+Giveaway


I am going to tell you about the collection of Indie Children's Books we got. We love them all and the ones we received were the Calling all Grammies,Christmas on the farm, Captain no beard and the Aurora Borealis, and the Christmas Witchling. We loved all these books but one of them stuck out a lot more then the others and that book is called Calling all Grammies now you ask why did this one touch us the most??? Well you won't believe it but it was the talk around Christmas in our family besides the good story and message it sends. My children have a Grammie and we spell it the same way. On top of that we started to read the book and when we opened it we saw Grammie and guess what she was wearing a Steelers shirt "our" Grammie is a huge Steelers fan you know we had to take it over there to show her and she was so excited about the book she had to keep it and read it for herself.



·         Calling All Grammies – A Christmas Tale of Friendship, an inventive story by Flo Barnet features an intrepid grandma and her friends from around the world, who band together to save the day when Santa’s sleigh breaks down and can’t be fixed in time to take to the skies for Christmas. Flo began writing children’s books at age 68 because she wanted to leave her seven grandchildren something special to remember her by. 
·         Christmas on the Farm, an engaging rhyming picture book by Beau Blackwell, featuring a whole barnyard of adorably illustrated animals, reinforces that the true meaning of Christmas is about the spirit of friendship and giving to others. Beau has two small children who he reads to every night, and his goal was to create a Christmas book that he could share with them and that would also make a great holiday gift for friends, family and beyond.
·         Captain No Beard and the Aurora Borealis, a charming winter’s tale and the newest addition to the award-winning Captain No Beard book series by Carole P. Roman, finds the daring pirate Captain No Beard and his loyal crew heaving anchor for adventure as they steer a course due north for the icy waters of the Arctic. A prolific writer, Carole’s work is inspired by the antics of her grandchildren and she often features them in the pages of her books.

·         The Christmas Witchling, an enchanting chapter book by D. Byron Patterson featuring the brave 8-year-old Witchling Tulie Flue, who struggles to set everything right after it all goes wrong in a heartwarming tale about courage, friendship and the wonder of the holiday season. Before deciding to indie publish his books, Byron had been telling his tales for years, holding the kids of friends and family spellbound.

Gollywood, Here I Come Review/Giveaway



We actually really loved this book. My daughter tried to read it but it was a little hard for her. She has been really into reading me books at night but like I said for her being in Kindergarten it was a little hard for her to read. 

Both kids actually really enjoyed me reading this to them. 
The book is about becoming a big star one day when Anamazie is dreaming of this she was studying acting, singing, and dancing. This really captured my daughters attention.


My daughter loved all the pictures of her doing makeup and all that stuff but of course what girl wouldn't like that. 




I love this photo it's so colorful and I love how it shows everyone working together to make great music!

About the Author:
Terry John Barto has crafted dances and musical staging for more than 200 productions throughout the United States and abroad. His versatility ranges from Annie and Crazy For You to The Who's Tommy and West Side Story. Terry staged long-running shows for Princess Cruises and a variety of his choreography has been seen on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful. As the Creative Director for Wings of Dreams Productions, he turned diverse ideas into screenplays for animation and toys. About the Illustrator:
Mattia Cerato was born in Cuneo, a small town surrounded by the beautiful Italian alps. At a young age his artist father encourage Mattia to draw and when he grew up he studied illustration at the European Institute of Design (IED).  After graduation, he landed his first illustration job, a book titled My First Picture Dictionary for Rass Language House.  He subsequently went on to illustrate many more children’s books. Book Buddies Parragon Books September Review



I love all the books I get from Parragon they have a wide variety of books for kid's and adults. The first book I was able to review for the month of September was Bunny Loves to Learn this book is so encouraging for children. I am saving this one and the other for the kid's for Christmas but I looked at them myself and can say that my daughter would love this book this book is geared toward older children so this will be her's.





Buster Bunny loves to read, write, and now LEARN! At school, the teacher announces that the class will be doing a simple and fun learning project. They will choose costumes from the dress-up box, make something from the time of the characters chosen, and then dress up and present their work to the class. A perfect story to share, written by award-winning author Peter Bently. 


The next book I was able to review was the Spot A-Lot Animal Escape this one is really cute it's a spot and see book and also rhythms this book is going to be perfect for my son who is 3 I know he will love it. All the pictures are colorful and busy so for a child that age it will help their mind grow. Both of these books retail for $9.99!!



There’s trouble at the zoo today… The animals have run away! The animals are everywhere! Look very carefully as you help the zookeeper count and spot all the zoo runaways in this great animal escape.
A bright and busy book to keep you searching, spotting and engaging.

Trueberry Books Twinkleberry Personalized Books Review



This book by Trueberry Books is a great book this is personlized with Jordyn in mind this talks about when Mommy and Daddy met and got married, had Jordyn, and then eventually had baby brother too. This is going to be a great keepsake for her when she is older to see all the stuff that happend and the story to go along with it.





Each page talks a little about our family and how we met and grown. And I believe when two people are meant to be together they will find a way to be together.
